(KWNO)-The annual Maria W. Faust Sonnet Contest will celebrate its winners on Saturday at the Winona County Historical Society at 11 a.m. The winning sonnets will be read by actors from the Great River Shakespeare Festival and the event can also be viewed online.
This year’s contest saw entries from 16 countries and 43 states and a total of 700 sonnets were submitted. Prizes were awarded in four categories and the winning sonnets will be posted online following Saturday’s event.
