(KWNO)-The Teamsters Local 120 union and Winona Main Street Program are partnering up to host a food giveaway on Sat., March 27.
The giveaway begins at noon and ends at 3 p.m. or until all food boxes are gone. The giveaway will take place at Island City Brewery.
The teamsters have given out over one million pounds of food since October of last year. Organizer and Political Director Paul Slattery said the food giveaway is coming full circle on Saturday.
“We’ve been working a lot up in the Twin Cities with these food giveaways,” said Slattery. “We wanted to go down to Winona, that’s where we originally got our start last year in October.”
The food is available to anyone. The event is in a drive-through format.
