(KWNO)-A fire at the Sugarloaf Apartments left one unit damaged and its occupant looking for a temporary home. The fire started Tuesday night on an outside deck and fire crews evacuated residents.
The man living at the apartment said he smoked a cigarette on the deck and then put it out in an ashtray before going to sleep. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The apartment unit is uninhabitable due to smoke and water damage.
