(KWNO)- The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Winona and the surrounding counties.
The advisory goes into effect at 10 a.m. Monday is scheduled to expire at 7 p.m. Monday. The latest forecasts predict 3 to 5 inches of heavy wet snow to fall Monday afternoon.
Forecasters say there is an increasing chance of localized totals six inches or higher being seen in southeast Minnesota. They are asking residents to reconsider travel plans, saying driving conditions could deteriorate throughout the storm.
