(KWNO)- The Winona Fire Department was called to the Garvin Heights lookout just after 12:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon for two dogs that had fallen off of the lookout area.
The WFD says that one of the dogs had fallen all the way down to a flatter area and was healthy enough to run back up the bluff to the lookout. One of the dogs was stuck halfway down the incline on a ledge.
The WFD continued to say that one person that was there with the dogs had gotten stuck on the ledge as well attempting to help the dog that was stuck down there.
Firefighters used ropes and harnesses to rescue the dog and person stuck on the ledge. The WFD says that there were only minor scrapes on the person, and neither of the dogs appeared to be severely injured.
