(KWNO)- The Winona Police Department is working tirelessly to find a missing person from Winona who was reported missing in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 1.

The WPD is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Madeline Jane Kingsbury (Pictured above). WPD say that Kingsbury was last seen the morning of March 31 at her residence in the 450 block of Kary Drive. She has had no contact with family or friends since. Kingsbury is a white female, five feet four inches in height, weighs 135, with brown hair and hazel-colored eyes. If you have any information pertaining to Kingsbury missing, call 911 or contact the WPD at 507-457-6288.

Kingsbury is 26 years old and lives with an adult male and her two kids, both under the age of five.

WPD says that family and friends were immediately concerned when she was not responding to messages or calls. WPD was first called for a welfare check for Kingsbury on the night of Friday, March 31. Upon the search there was no sign of Kingsbury. The missing person report was officially filed around 8:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1.

Witness testimonies claim she was seen at her residence Friday morning.

WPD says that they believe her absence is not voluntary and they are concerned for her well-being. WPD has spoken to numerous friends and family members, including the adult male Kingsbury resides with. They continue to say they have ‘no great leads’. There was a search team from the WPD that walked about a mile radius from her residence. Friends and family of Kingsbury have also organized search parties of their own via Facebook.

WPD is diligently working to find Kingsbury. As well as the search conducted, they are filling through a litany of messages and calls to try and find a lead. WPD also mentioned they are trying to obtain Ring Doorbell camera footage from around Kingsbury’s residence. However, it takes time to acquire footage, messages and any details from a technology standpoint in these instances.

WPD gave no suspects.

WPD says they have received great support from other area departments, including the Winona County Sherriff’s Department, Fillmore County Sherriff’s Department, Houston County Sherriff’s Department, Goodview Police Department and the Southeast Minnesota Violent Crime Task Force.

*UPDATE* As of 9:00 a.m.

The Winona Police Department say that recent developments have led investigators to believe a van matching the description of Kingsbury’s was seen traveling from Winona to the eastern part of Fillmore County during the day on March 31. Kingsbury’s Van is a 2014 dark blue Chrysler Town and Country.

The WPD and the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office are asking residents and landowners in eastern Fillmore County to check their properties, including any video cameras, doorbell cameras, game cameras, etc. for any sings of the van passing through or stopping. In addition, Authorities asked residents to be on the lookout of any suspicious activity.

WPD is specifically looking for information during the timeframe of 8:00 a.m. on March 31 to 4:00 p.m. on April 1, along the Highway 43 corridor of Winona and Fillmore Counties.

WPD says that they are doing everything possible to gain information. They are hopeful that their recent efforts will provide something fruitful in terms of new leads and information, but it takes time for the litany of information to be analyzed.
