Ready Set School Announces Double Your Donation Extended Through April

(KWNO)- Ready Set School announced in a press release that their Double Your Donation event originally scheduled to end at the close of the month, has been extended through April.

Ready Set School says they have had a very positive response to the Double Your Donation campaign and has maxed out the $5,000 grant they received from Peerless Chain. Thanks to a donation from Celanese to match another $5,000 of donations, the campaign will continue through the month of April.

“The community really stepped up and helped us max out our first $5,000 match. Now we have been given another $5,000 matching grant to further support our mission to ensure students have the tools they need for school. We are very grateful,” said Ready Set School Director, Mandi Olson.

Last year, Ready Set School gave 949 students vouchers worth $70 each.

“The Celanese Foundation is delighted to contribute to Ready Set School with our donation. We are pleased to provide students with supplies that support creativity and development in the classroom,” added Tyler Phelps, T&I Process Engineer at Celanese.

Donations received now through April 30th will be doubled up to $5,000. Donations can be mailed to 111 Riverfront Suite 2E in Winona or made online at www.readysetschoolwinona.org.
