(Learfield) Attorney General Keith Ellison reports his office settled a lawsuit with the Plainview Wellness Center for COVID order violations.
The business, also known as House of Iron LLC, agreed to pay a $5,000 fine and comply with executive orders that apply to gyms and fitness centers. Wabasha County District Court ordered Plainview Wellness Center to shut down in December for refusing to comply with a ban on indoor gatherings.
Future violations will come with a $25,000 civil penalty. This is the fourth settlement the A.G.’s office has reached with businesses for operating in violation of COVID orders.
