(KWNO)- The Winona Chamber of Commerce along with the City of Winona will be hosting two informational sessions about the Winona Main Street Economic Revitalization Program (MSERP).
Information will be provided about eligibility and how to apply for funding.
The Winona Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation was awarded $1 million by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development to provide grants through the MSERP.
The purpose of the grants is to assist business/property owners and developers in repairing, renovating, developing, and redeveloping properties within the designated area from Huff Street to Franklin Street and Fifth Street to the Riverfront.
The overall goal of the program is to create jobs and increase the tax base of the targeted areas.
Applications for grants are open and will remain open until Oct. 17th, 2022.
