
Shawna Wenger on Aug. 22nd
(KWNO)- The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office announced in a press release that they received a report yesterday, Aug. 23rd of a missing and endangered adult.
The missing person is 20-year-old Shawna Wenger, a person who suffers from mental illness and is currently off her medications. Shawna also just recently missed a hospital appointment, say Buffalo County Officials.
There is a concern for her well-being not only due to her mental illnesses in general, but also the combination of being off of her medications.
The Buffalo County Sherriff’s Office says that she was last seen on Aug. 22nd around 6:00 p.m. walking southbound on State Highway 35 near the city of Fountain City.
Buffalo County Officials believe there is a possibility that Shawna is trying to get to Los Angeles and has a history of hitchhiking or riding a train as a means of transportation.

According to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s office, the missing person, Shawna Wenger, was found and is alive and safe.
