Kiwanis Sunrisers Provide 50 Backpacks Full of Supplies for Ready Set School

(KWNO)- The Kiwanis Sunrisers Club members of Winona filled 50 backpacks with school supplies to donate to the Ready Set School Organization of Winona.

The supplies will be given to elementary school students in Winona County that are in need so they will be ready for the upcoming school year.

Ready Set School is a non-profit organization located in Winona that’s goal is to ensure that all eligible students who attend a public or private school in Winona County have the basic and necessary supplies and clothing for school.

Bob Herman, chair of the Children’s Services Committee for the club coordinated the effort with Ready Set School representatives Pam Simon, Jackie Stevens, and Tori Todd.

The project was funded by the Sunrisers Club and Thrivent.
