ROCHESTER, Minn. (KWNO)-Rochester Police are searching for a man suspected of attempting to abduct a child.
A news release from the Rochester Police Department says the attempted abduction happened on June 1 in the northwestern part of the city. Police say the suspect pulled into the 11-year-old girl’s path while she was riding her bike and attempted to talk her into his vehicle.
Authorities say the girl refused and the man exited his vehicle and made contact with her. The girl was able to ride away on her bike.
The vehicle is described as a small black SUV with a blue sticker that had lettering in the rear window. The suspect is described as a thin-build Black man with a beard and short hair, standing between 5’6” and 5’8”.
Authorities say he was wearing a blue shirt and black sweatpants. Anyone with information about the attempted abduction is asked to contact the Rochester Police Department.
