Winona County to Hold Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Wednesday

WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-Winona area law enforcement agencies will remember their fallen colleagues on Wednesday.  

The public is invited to attend a memorial to honor fallen officers, including three who served residents of Winona County, at 1 p.m. at the Winona County Law Enforcement Center. The memorial will include proclamations from the Winona City Council and Winona County Board of Commissioners.  

The Winona County Sheriff’s Office says 616 federal, state and local law enforcement officers were killed last year. The memorial is part of National Police Week which runs May 11-17.
