(KWNO)-Meteorologists are tracking a storm system that could bring severe weather to the Winona region.
It’s slated to begin Tuesday evening. A bulletin from the National Weather Service in La Crosse indicates possible severe thunderstorms could bring large hail and damaging winds to areas south of Interstate 94.
Forecasters say there’s also a chance of tornados south of Interstate 90.
As of Monday morning, the Storm Prediction Center indicated Winona and surrounding counties in Minnesota and Wisconsin are at a slight chance (risk level 2 of 5) of being hit by severe storms.
