Minnesota March Food Share Campaign Enters Home Stretch

By TJ Mar 29, 2022 | 11:05 AM

WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-The final days of the Minnesota Foodshare March Campaign are approaching.

Winona Volunteer Services Director Sandra Burke tells KWNO the food shelf has collected locally over 5,000 pounds of food and over $16,000 in cash donations. Burke says community partnerships with Steak Shop Catering, Hy-Vee, Island City, and local scouts have been significant contributors to the funds and food collected so far.

Burke says there are still ways to donate before the drive ends next month. A round-up at the register campaign begins March 30 at Midtown Foods and Gilmore Ave. Car Wash will donate proceeds from all car wash sales on Saturday.

The food shelf is also accepting cash and online donations. The statewide food drive ends on April 10.
