WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-The Minnesota Foodshare March campaign is nearing its halfway point.
Winona Volunteer Services Executive Director Sandra Burke says they’ve raised approximately $8,300, with the US Tennis Association kicking in $2,700. The food drive intensifies this week with several events planned meant to raise food and cash donations.
Burke told KWNO she appreciates the community rallying behind the food shelf.
“I love the fact how the community thinks of the food shelf and is willing to do what they can to help raise food and funds for Winona Volunteer Services Food Shelf,” Burke said.
