Winona County Commercial Sales More than Double in 2021

(KWNO)-2021 saw over $68 million in commercial property sold in Winona County.  

That’s more than double the $30 million sold in 2020, according to statistics from Winona County Recorder Bob Bambenek.  

“The activity was all across the county and there seems to be demand both in the city of Winona and the smaller cities and outlying areas,” Bambenek said. 

The top commercial sale was Peerless Chain, which was sold at a price of $14 million. A strip mall that houses Aspen Dental and other businesses went for over $5.4 million and Kwik Trip purchased the former home of the Lad Motel for more than $1.1 million to rebuild and expand their store.   

The top sale that took place outside of the Winona city limits was Crocus Senior Living in Lewiston, which went for a price of $1.9 million.
