Minnesota State College Southeast announces Fall 2021 President’s List

Winona and Red Wing, MN (February 1, 2022) —Minnesota State College Southeast in Red Wing and Winona, Minnesota, is proud to announce the President’s List for Fall Semester 2021.

271 students were named to the Fall 2021 President’s List. Students on the list come from Minnesota (189) and nearby Wisconsin (42) and 26 different states — Alabama, Alaska, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia — as well as one student from Hong Kong.

To be eligible for the President’s List, students must complete a minimum of 12 credits at MSC Southeast during an academic term and achieve a GPA of 3.5 or above.

Two people are lucky to be alive after a drunk driving crash in Winona. It happened Saturday night near the intersection of 3rd Street and Mechanic Street. According to a Winona Police Spokesperson, 33-year-old Kyle Ostrander was speeding and rolled his vehicle. Officers arriving on the scene suspected Ostrander was intoxicated, and he was arrested. A passenger in the car suffered significant injuries from "deep lacerations on the head" but refused medical treatment. The spokesperson said the car was totaled and he "didn't know how nobody died."
