City Council to Conduct Performance Review of Acting City Manager

WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-The Winona City Council will review Acting City Manager Chad Ubl’s performance during a closed-door session on Feb. 7.  

Last month the council voted 6-1 to begin a process that will decide whether or not to offer the city manager post to Ubl. Part of the process includes interviewing Ubl for the position.  

Councilman Steve Young said during the late-January meeting that the council has given itself options when it comes to appointing the next city manager. 

We’re allowing ourselves to have options and we’ve got a process that we’re going to adopt,” Young said. “If things work out, we know where we’ll land and if they don’t, we can widen the search.”
