Winona County Receives 4,000 Masks from State

(KWNO)-Winona County has received 4,000 K-95 masks from the state of Minnesota.

The shipment has been distributed to six locations throughout the county. They’re available at no cost to anyone who wants them.

Public Health Supervisor Melanie Tatge says no proof of residency is required to obtain a mask. She says there’s not a hard limit on the number of masks a person can grab but encourages residents to “spread the wealth.”

“Grab only what you need for you, your family. That would be perfect,” Tatge said.

Tatge says masks from the federal distribution program are available at CVS, Hy-Vee, and Walgreens.

The masks are free and available at the following locations, while supplies last:

  • Winona County Public Health-Parkview Office, 825 Mankato Ave.
  • La Crescent City Hall, 315 Main St.
  • Goodview City Hall, 4140 5th St.
  • Stockton City Hall, 8600 D St.
  • Lewiston City Hall, 75 Rice St.
  • St. Charles City Hall, 830 Whitewater Ave.
  • St. Charles Library, 125 W 11th St
