(Jennifer Lewerenz-KNSI) – Some Christmas mailing deadlines are this week for those special packages.
Becky Hernandez with the U.S. Postal Service says customers can help make sure the box gets to its destination by blotting out any previous addresses or barcodes and ripping off stickers “so that the Postal Service machinery will pick up the address that they want it to go to. We want to be sure we read just the address and apply the barcode to where the package is going.”
If customers plan to mail using retail ground service, the deadline is Wednesday, December 15th. For first-class mail, the deadline is December 17th. The priority mail service deadline is December 18th, and the priority mail express deadline is December 23rd.
