WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-The city of Winona has issued a tag and tow for the downtown area to facilitate snow removal.
Vehicles parked on the odd side of the street downtown between 12:01 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday will be towed. Vehicles parked on the even side of the street during that same time period Wednesday will be towed away.
Parking in Municipal lot 3 is prohibited during the enforcement window Tuesday. Vehicles parked in lot 1 during enforcement on Wednesday are subject to be towed.
Those who have vehicles towed are required to obtain a release form from the Winona Police Department before retrieving their vehicles from Borkowski Towing and Salvage. Proof of insurance is required to obtain a release form.
The downtown enforcement area spans north to south from Levee Park Dr. to Broadway St. and east to west from Franklin to Huff Streets.
