WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-Winona’s Alternate Side Parking ordinance begins at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 15.
The ordinance requires vehicles to be parked on the odd-numbered sides of city streets when the date at 12:01 a.m. is an odd number and parked on the even side when the date at 12:01 a.m. is an even number.
Vehicles must be parked on the odd side of the streets when the rule goes into effect on Nov. 15. The ordinance is enforced from 12:01 a.m. until 6:30 a.m.
Parking during enforcement hours is prohibited in downtown lot #1 on odd-numbered days and in lot #3 on even-numbered days. The fine for violating the alternate side parking rule is $25.
Vehicles in violation of the ordinance during a tag and tow operation are subject to being fined and towed. The city will announce tag and tow enforcement before it takes effect.
