WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-Winona Area Public Schools (WAPS) has partnered up with Winona County Health and Human Services to hold four COVID-19 vaccine clinics next week.
The first clinic is Tuesday, Nov. 16 at Jefferson Elementary from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. There is a clinic at the Winona Middle School on Wednesday, Nov. 17, and two clinics are set for Nov. 19, one at W-K Elementary and the other at Goodview Elementary.
The partnership between the district and local public health follows federal health officials signing off on the use of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children between the ages of five and 11. The district is also encouraging families with students ages 12 and older to get their vaccine if they haven’t done so.
