WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-The City of Winona’s Parks and Recreation Department received a statewide award for the Levee Park boulders.
They were presented with the Award of Excellence by Executive Director of the Minnesota Recreation and Park Association Michelle Schnider during Monday’s city council meeting.
“Our awards committee was impressed by your project, the Levee Park Boulders, providing a unique, public park, outdoor recreation opportunity for both residents and visitors,” Schnider said.
The recreation alliance of Winona donated the boulders to the city.
