(KWMN)- #1 Cochrane-Fountain City Pirates (6-0) continue to dominate in the Dairyland conference with a 55-8 win over the Eleva-Strum Cardinals (1-5).
The Pirates got rolling early, forcing a punt on the first drive from the Cardinals. The Pirates then immediate drove 47 yards down the field and punched it in from the 2nd yard line, with a two-yard rush from Parker Kujak. After a promising second drive from the cardinals fell short and resulted in a turnover on downs, the pirates took it 67-yards and ran it in from 39 yards out on a lateral play from Kujak to Aidan Lisowski, for the second score of the game. The next drive was the same, another Cardinals turnover on downs before a big Pirates drive, then ran in from the two by Aidan Lisowski for his second touchdown of the game.
After yet another turnover on downs by Eleva-Strum, the pirates marched over midfield and set up at the 23-yard line. Aidan Lisowski was stood up int he backfield for a three-yard loss, forcing a 3rd and long. From 26 yards out, Parker Kujak fired it to Maverick Arneson in the endzone for the score, and Kujak’s first passing touchdown of the game. The cardinals final drive of the half ended on the very first play, a 27-yard pick 6 by Audi Schwanke, his first INT and first pick 6 of the season.
The second half was more of the same, a punt and another turnover on downs with Nash Noeldner taking it into the endzone from the 16 for his first of the night, followed by Audi Schwanke’s second, a 20-yard touchdown run, as the Pirates cruised to a 55-8 victory and their sixth straight victory.
