(MNN)-A person reported missing from southern Minnesota was found dead in northwest Iowa over the weekend. The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says it was notified Saturday to be on the lookout for the missing person from Martin County. Deputies located the person’s vehicle around 3:30 p.m. near the Little Sioux River, north of the O’Brien County Prairie Center. The person was found dead a short distance away. Sheriff Brian Devereaux says family members had received concerning text messages before the discovery. Authorities do not suspect foul play.
