(KWNO)-Winona Senior High School will induct six athletes into its athletic Hall of Fame at a ceremony over Homecoming weekend. The ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 at Winona Senior High School. The six Hall of Famers will also be honored at the Homecoming parade and football game the night before. The parade begins at 5:30 p.m. at WSHS, and the game against Faribault kicks off at 7 p.m. at Paul Giel Field.

Heading into the Hall are:

Alec Brown (Class of 2010), a standout basketball player who is currently playing professionally overseas

Kevin Henderson (1980), a double state champion in the shot put and discus

Eric Nasstrom (1988), a leader in the 1987 state runner-up football team who went on to play at Iowa State

Michelle Potter VanLoon (2007), a state champion discus thrower who went on to set records at Winona State

Jason Schneider (2000), a multiple conference and section champion and school record holder who went on to swim at Iowa State

Scott Urness (1988), a three-sport athlete who went on to earn all-conference honors on the football team at St. Cloud State
