(KWNO)-A man is dead after crashing his motorcycle in Buffalo County on Saturday. According to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, the 56-year-old from Sioux Falls was traveling on Highway 37 in Gilmanton when he lost control around a curve. The motorcycle was laid down on its side and the operator “separated from the motorcycle.” He was airlifted to the hospital but later died from his injuries. The press release from BCSO does not say if the victim was wearing a helmet. This incident marks the third speed-related motorcycle fatality in Buffalo County during the 2026 riding season.
