(MNN)- Used car prices remain stubbornly high in Minnesota, and a lingering shortage is a major factor. Dealership lots aren’t as bare as they were during the pandemic, but there are still fewer used vehicles than normal, especially budget-friendly options. Lower new-car production several years ago means fewer trade-ins entering the market now, and higher interest rates are encouraging drivers to keep their cars longer. On top of that, Minnesota’s winters and rust concerns make reliable used vehicles harder to find, keeping demand strong and prices elevated.
