Robert “Bob” Barth

Feb 24, 2026 | 10:09 AM

With broken hearts we announce that on February 20, 2026, the world became a little less bright when Robert “Bob” Barth, 67, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Bob was born on February 15, 1959, in Winona, MN, to the late Tom and Betty Barth. From an early age, Bob’s infectious laughter and sense of humor brought joy to everyone around him.

Bob devoted his life to his wife of 45 years, Tammy (Rose) Barth, truly the apple of his eye, and his children, Stacy (Jay Rasmussen) and Tanya (Brad Berzinski). He was also the incredibly proud grandpa to Coltan (Mikayla), Myles, Delanee, Kellen, Arabella, Teagen, and Finnegan.

Family meant everything to Bob, but he also took great pride in his career. As the owner of Rocco’s Pub and Pizza in Winona, MN, he left a meaningful impact on the community by “making every pizza like he was making it for mom.” He felt fortunate to have many dedicated employees over the course of his career. If he wasn’t working or spending time with family, Bob could surely be found on Westfield Golf Course, his true home away from home. He cherished his time with his best friends on the course, a Mountain Dew in hand. Bob also spent many happy years with his good friends in his bowling league. He was an avid fan of Minnesota sports, always cheering on the Vikings, Twins, and Wild.

Bob had a quick wit, a generous heart, and a knack for making everyone laugh. Whether he was delivering a pun, creating a catchy jingle, or showing off his infamous dad dance moves, there was no denying he added a spark of joy to every moment simply by being there.

Bob is also survived by his loving siblings, Barb Metcalf (Peggy Sapp), Bill Barth, Becky (Paul) Grochowski, along with many other family and friends who will miss him greatly.

Bob will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love he gave generously and the light he brought to the lives of those around him.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 5pm on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Pleasant Valley Church (1363 Homer Rd. Winona, MN) with visitation beginning at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, Bob respectfully requests that you eat pizza instead.

Hoff Celebration of Life Center is assisting the family.
