Daniel P. Kammerer, 78 of Goodview, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Lake Winona Manor surrounded by family.
Daniel Paul was born July 26, 1947, in Winona, MN to Evelyn (Kotlan) and Clemons Kammerer. He graduated from Winona Senior High School.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict, attaining the rank of sergeant. On September 20, 1969, Dan married Judith Klinger and together they raised two sons: Jeff and James.
He was employed by Badger Equipment Company (Warner Swasey) for 45 years. He served as a Scout Master at Troop 13 in Winona for several years and was an avid fisherman in his younger years. Later in life, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.
Dan is survived by his sons: Jeff (Kathy) Kammerer, and James (Shari) Kammerer; four grandchildren: Ryan (Cammy), Gavin, Payton and Zoie; one great grandson Bryson; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Judith, and two brothers Larry and Tony Kammerer.
Services to remember Dan will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Fawcett Junker Funeral Home, Winona with Fr. Russ Scepaniak officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Winona, MN.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
