(KWNO)-The annual Kid’s Ice Fishing event is Saturday, January 10 from 10am to 12pm at McNally Boat Landing on Prairie Island Drive in Winona. Children will be paired with an experienced angler who will give them a hands-on ice fishing lesson. Bait, tackle and fishing rods will be available, but participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies if possible. Children should also dress appropriately for the weather. Hot chocolate, cookies and hot dogs will be provided in a heated tent. RSVPs are requested but not required; a registration station will be set up at the boat landing. The McNally Boat Landing is between Prairie Island Campground and the Minnesota City Boat Club.
