(KWNO)-The Winona Arts Center is raising the curtain on its fall film series with a tale of love, friendship and freedom. The film Alam focuses on two Palestinian teenagers living in Israel who are drawn to activism. It’s a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic tale, drawing on themes from France, Tunisia, Palestine, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The screening is on Friday September 19 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door.
