(KWNO)-The Winona Fire Department on Wednesday evening responded to a fire near the middle school. According to the WFD Facebook page, the building, located near the tennis courts on the Winona Middle School property, “is used as a workshop for (WAPS).”

Firefighters put out the fire quickly, but the building did suffer moderate damage. The building was unoccupied at the time and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
