(MNN)-There’s still a month of summer vacation for most Minnesota kids, but back-to-school shopping is already ramping up.
“We see kind of earlier shopping throughout all the seasons now, but especially for back to school, with consumers having some concerns over tariffs, about 2/3 of us actually started our back-to-school shopping before the beginning of July, or right in that time period,” says Bruce Nustad, president of the Minnesota Retailers Association.
Families with students in elementary through high school are expected to spend an average of $858.07 on clothing, shoes, school supplies, and electronics.
