What to Watch Right Now

By Cassie Bauer Apr 22, 2025 | 11:03 AM

Because yes, we all need something to obsess over (besides your situationship).

Whether you’re looking for a new series to binge, a guilty pleasure to keep you company while folding laundry, or a show that’ll actually make you put your phone down for once, this list is for you. We’ve rounded up the most buzzworthy shows to stream right now, from fresh premieres to must-catch-up-on classics. Let’s get into it.

The Last of Us – Season 2 (HBO/Max)

We know, the wait has been excruciating, but the first two episodes have us hooked once again. If you somehow missed Season 1, now’s the time to catch up. It’s intense, emotional, and wildly well produced. Mushroom apocalypse never looked so good.

The Studio (Max)

From the minds of the Curb Your Enthusiasm crew comes this behind-the-scenes comedy about the wild world of film production. Think The Office meets Entourage but with way more dysfunction and film nerd jokes. It’s meta, chaotic, and surprisingly addictive.

The White Lotus – Season 3 (HBO/Max)

New cast. New country. Same beautiful people doing terrible things in luxury resorts. Season 3 is headed to Thailand and filming now, so the buzz is building. Start rewatching Seasons 1 & 2 to get back in the toxic vacation mindset.

Andor – Season 2 (Disney+)

The smartest Star Wars show is coming back, and if you didn’t catch the first season, you’re missing out. It’s gritty, grounded, and not just for die-hard fans. Season 2 is rumored to bring us right up to the events of Rogue One, and premiers TONIGHT.

The Kardashians – Season 5 (Premiering May 23, Hulu)

You already know. The drama, the glam, the Kris Jenner-isms. Whether you love them or love to hate-watch them, this season is promising more behind-the-scenes moments and less curated fluff. And maybe even a Timothée Chalamet appearance?

The Traitors US – Season 3 (Peacock)

Alan Cumming. Capes. Deceit. If you missed the absolute mess of Season 2, go binge immediately. The perfect mix of strategy, drama, and reality TV chaos. Season 3 is on its way with a new batch of reality stars and hopefully more iconic meltdowns.

House of the Dragon Season 2 (Premieres June 16, HBO/Max)

The war is on. The dragons are back. And if you weren’t already in your “I kinda like political intrigue and incest dragons” era, it’s time. The battle between Team Green and Team Black is about to pop off.

Need to Catch Up? Here’s What’s Still Worth the Hype

  • The Bear (Hulu): Drama + chef chaos = yes chef.
  • Euphoria (Max): Still a must if you’ve been living under a rock.
  • Only Murders in the Building (Hulu): Murder, but make it cozy and funny.
  • Fallout (Prime Video) – New and already huge. Think Mad Max meets dark comedy.
  • Stranger Things (Netflix): Catch up before the final season drops.
