Duane J. Horner, 71 of Goodview, MN, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Winona Health Services.
Duane John was born in Parkers Prairie, MN to Ella (Bakken) and Darell Horner. He graduated from Winona Senior High School and from Minnesota State Southeast Technical College. On June 25, 1977, he married Gloria Peterson in Range, WI. Together they raised three children: Matthew, Steven and Kelly.
Duane was a self-employed carpenter and drove truck for Silver Eagle Trucking. He would talk with everyone, enjoyed helping others, camping and driving. Duane was most proud of becoming a father, grandfather and a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife of 47 ½ years Gloria; three children: Matthew Horner; Steven (Sueli) Horner; and Kelly Horner; two grandchildren: Dax Wacholz and Josiahna Horner; two brothers: Roger (Linda) Horner and Marlin (Carol) Horner; his beloved dog Bubba and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Henry and Joan Peterson and a niece Sheila Horner.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2025, at Fawcett Junker Funeral Home, Winona. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Minneiska, MN.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
