Off-duty first responders rescue sleeping man from house fire

(KWNO)-A Wisconsin man sleeping while his house was on fire was rescued by off-duty first responders. According to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, a call came in on Saturday night about a house fire in Glencoe from two off-duty first responders who were driving through the area.

Noticing lights on in the house and unable to get anyone to come to the door, the first responders forced their way into the residence and found a 50-year-old man asleep inside. They helped the man and his dog out of the home. Fire crews contained the fire to one part of the house and believe it started in a chimney. Glencoe is about seven miles west of Arcadia.
