
(KWMN)- The Winona State needed a near perfect weekend to slip into the NSIC, and after going 1-1, it wasn’t enough to punch their ticket.
The WSU women got a big victory on Friday, toppling Minnesota State-Moorhead, but fell victim to St. Cloud State. That left a three-way tie for the final spot in the conference tournament, and Duluth, and Crookston both controlled the tiebreaker over WSU, leading to the end of the Warriors season.
The Warriors finished with a 11-17 record overall, and a 7-15 conference record.
