(KWNO)-Two people were injured and one arrested for DWI after a car drove off Garvin Heights Road on Thursday night. According to a witness who contacted police, 48-year-old Jesse Barry of Rushford was swerving and driving erratically up Garvin Heights Road. He then suddenly sped up and the vehicle crashed through the guardrail and went down a steep embankment.
Officers responding to the crash suspected Barry was intoxicated and a passenger in the vehicle told police Barry had two mixed drinks before driving. Barry and the passenger, a 65-year-old man, suffered minor injuries. A WPD spokesperson said the road was closed for about one hour and the vehicle was totaled.
