(KWNO)-The La Crosse Regional Airport is aiming to give travelers more options. Airport director Jeff Tripp says he’s in discussions with Delta, Sun Country and other airlines about adding flights. Currently only American Airlines flies out of La Crosse after Delta left the market in 2023.
The airport is currently building up a $1 million revenue guarantee fund to attract airlines and the La Crosse County Board recently earmarked $250K for the fund. Passenger numbers at the airport are trending upward, with 3,082 people flying on commercial flights through LSE in January, a 62 percent increase over January 2024.
