(KWMN)- The Winona State Women’s Warriors suffered two losses last week to Augustana on their home floor, and Southwest Minnesota State on the road.
The week brings their record to 9-15 and 5-13 in conference play.
They’ll need to have success in the final two weekends of the season as the NSIC standings are taking its final shape. As it stands, the Warriors are tied for 12th place in the NSIC. With the top 12 teams making the conference tournament, they’ll need to go above .500 in their final four games to give themselves a good shot of qualifying.
They’ll face the U of Mary and Minot State first this coming weekend. Minot State sits just two games above them in the NSIC, a win over the Beavers would be huge for conference tournament potential.
Head Coach for the Warriors, Ana Wurtz, joined the WSN to discuss the team as it nears the end of the season.
