(KWNO)-A Wisconsin man driving drunk and the wrong way on Highway 61 was arrested. A Winona County Sheriff’s Office deputy on Saturday night nearly collided with the vehicle while it was traveling north in the southbound lane on 61 a few miles outside the city of Winona. The vehicle stopped after deputies pursued it for several miles. The driver, 36-year-old Miguel Angel Arenas Hernandez of Sparta, then got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. Deputies found Hernandez a few minutes later hiding in a wooded area and arrested him. He showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for fleeing from officers and suspicion of DWI.
