Ron Buck, 89, of Utica, MN, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025. Ron was born June 21, 1935, and grew up in Goodview, MN.
He married Virginia Witt in 1957 in Minnesota City, MN and they had 5 children. Kim Pettit (Paul) Victoria, MN. Scott Minneapolis, MN. Daryl (Dawn) St. Charles, MN. Dawn Temp (Jeff) Shakopee, MN. Terry St. Charles, MN.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother Elmer, daughter Dawn Temp, wife Virginia Buck and three half siblings.
Survived by brother Donald (Sonja) Homer, MN, 4 children, 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Ron graduated from Winona State University with a Masters Degrees in Art and Biology. He taught Art at St. Charles High School for 30 years. Ron enjoyed spending time outdoors and traveling. He loved hunting, fishing and camping. Additionally he liked to be creative by painting, drawing, making picture frames and some taxidermy.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2025, at Jehovah Lutheran Church, 25 1st Av SE, Altura, MN 55910.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, at First Lutheran Church, 141 Mill St, Minnesota City, MN 55959, with one hour visitation before the service at the church.
Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery, Front St, Minnesota City, followed by a celebration of life in the church basement.
