(KWNO)-A months long drug investigation led to an arrest and the seizure of 974 grams of cocaine. According to a Winona Police Department spokesperson, officers from several law enforcement agencies served a warrant at a house in the 650 block of East 8th Street on Monday morning. They found several bags of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
No one was home at the time, but officers arrested 50-year-old Tanya Sherrice McCain a short time later. She was in a vehicle parked in the 950 block of Mankato Avenue and was the focus of the investigation. According to the United Nations the average price for a gram of cocaine is $120, making the street value of the seized cocaine about $117,000.
