(KWMN)- The Winona State Womens Basketball team suffered a loss last night to Concordia-St. Paul 78-48.
It was the first time this season that the Warrior women really struggled from the floor, shooting 30% from the field, and just 24% from behind the arc.
Even with the loss, the Warriors are off to a solid start to the season at 4-2. It’s much improved from their start last season where they lost their first five games.
Head coach for the Warriors, Ana Wurtz, joined the Winona Sports Network to discuss the start to the season, and what’s different about this team, than those of the past two years.
