Saint Mary’s University is offering free tuition to children of faculty and staff members employed by Catholic schools in Minnesota. The Catholic Educator Promise is a donor funded program in which eligible students can apply for a “last dollar” grant that covers tuition costs for four years of college after all other scholarships and grants, according to a press release from SMU. Eligibility for the grant is dependent on several factors, including prospective students having a parent or guardian working full-time at a Minnesota Catholic school, being accepted to Saint Mary’s, living on-campus and filing for federal student aid. Incoming students will be eligible for the Catholic Educator Promise starting in the spring semester of 2025.
