(KWMN)-The Winona State Warrior Football team improved to 5-5 over the weekend with a dominating win over Southwest Minnesota State, 37-15, to claim the battle of the sledgehammer.
The Warriors have now won seven straight games against the Mustangs and have only lost three total since 2010.
The offense was working well, mainly through the air, as senior QB Cole Stenstrom through for over 300 yards and two scores in route to a game MVP performance.
The Warriors wont have much to play for other than pride when they close out their season this Saturday in Minot, ND. Even so, Head Coach Brian Bergstrom doesn’t have any worry about the guys on the team being ready for a battle.
Bergstrom discusses the game ahead, as well as the season as a whole in a conversation on Upon Further Review.
