A Fillmore County judge is currently reviewing motions to dismiss some charges against a woman accused of causing a deadly buggy crash last year. Attorneys for Samantha Jo Petersen have requested the judge to dismiss 18 out of the 21 charges filed against her, following the crash that resulted in the deaths of two children and injuries to two others. Prosecutors responded to these motions in documents submitted last week, urging the judge to permit the inclusion of evidence such as blood tests and recorded conversations between Samantha and her sister. Samantha Petersen faces several serious charges, including criminal vehicular homicide and driving while impaired. She is also accused of attempting to switch places with her sister to evade arrest
